For us at énergie Fitness, this day holds special significance as it reflects the vision of our late founder and former Chairman, Jan Spaticchia, who played a pivotal role in establishing National Fitness Day.


The Legacy of Jan Spaticchia 

Jan Spaticchia was not only a visionary leader for énergie Fitness but also a passionate advocate for making fitness accessible to everyone. He played a lead role in the launch of National Fitness Day through the énergie Fitness Franchise in 2011. Jan’s dedication to promoting a healthier nation was instrumental in the creation of this important day, which was gifted to ukactive in 2014. This transition allowed the campaign to benefit the whole sector, expanding it’s reach through thousands of fitness operators and suppliers within ukactive’s membership.

Jan believed that fitness should be fun, inclusive, and empowering. His work helped to shape the ethos of National Fitness Day, making it a day when everyone, regardless of age, background, or fitness level, could come together to celebrate movement. Today, his legacy lives on through this annual event, which continues to grow in participation and impact year after year.

On top of this, once you fill out the form you will automatically be entered into a competition to win a free membership for a WHOLE YEAR! 
  • Join a Class: Try out one of our many group fitness classes, designed to cater to all fitness levels. 
  • Take a Challenge: Set yourself a new fitness goal for the day, whether it’s trying a new workout or adding an extra 10 minutes to your usual routine.
